Group of 12 golfers, we used Let's Hyde as our base. The resort was great. Rooms were excellent, very clean and quite spacious. Excellent, friendly and helpful staff, and a great, quiet location. Food was also good. Would stay again. Peaceful place

Please don’t book this hotel. They canceled my hotel booking without telling me, especially I had two days of communication and they told me I have my booking. What a hotel operation. DO avoid this hotel. Or you might have no room when you arrive

What an amazing resort. Having had a delay in my visa application for Australia, my best friend joined me here for 10 days to celebrate my 50th birthday. As she lives in the daintree rainforest the setting was ideal for her and an eye opener for me with all the flying foxes, which whilst noisy, make for a unique stay you won't find in a concrete monolith hotel. Having read previous reviews, I was a tad concerned on what to expect, but as a birthday treat to myself I couldn't have made a better choice. On arrival we were upgraded to a garden suite room, as we were staying for 10 days this was much appreciated. During our stay the reception and restaurant were being revamped and look exceptional, and by our 4th night the hotel had introduced what I class as a 'pop up' restaurant to cater for the guests and visitors. Whilst I believe the food was Russian or similar in origin I can wholeheartedly say that it was amazing quality and value. The only disappointment being the sauces/dips. I am so glad the hotel didn't go down the Thai cuisine route as we found some amazing food just 10 mins from our room along the main drag. The staff are wonderful, friendly and put up with a gruff northern older bugger with humour and friendliness. Whilst there isn't a daily room clean, I much prefer the system used of us letting the team know if we want our room attending to. It saves time and effort on both sides as well as unecessary laundry costs. All in all I had an unforgettable 50th birthday and look forward to visiting again. Thanks to all the team

wow, the delight of the fact that there was a new restaurant Karavan. The hotel is really becoming international and everyone will find comfort to their liking. Special thanks for the Caravan cuisine. From now on, my friends and I will choose only your hotel, because two wonderful moments have united - a good hotel and a super restaurant Karavan.

We booked a pool villa quite near to the pool and eating area. Pros: Room itself is nice and well organized even with a small office section. The bathroom is nice. Comfortable bed. Good cleaning every day. At the pool bar there is a micro wave you can use for free. Also free drinking water. The staff in the lobby is helpful and especially the resort manager (Thai lady) is doing her best to make your stay to be a good experience. It is pleasant to sit with your laptop or tablet in the eating area in front of pool. You get the genuine feeling of being in a closed garden with lots of nice plants and trees. Great surroundings to relax. Cons: Less water pressure in the shower. No espresso machine for good quality coffees. No restaurant or cooking – foods are supplied from outside sub-contractor. Some of the staff in the pool bar do not speak English. The entrance doors to the pool villas have a large gap to the frame and needs door-replacement and sealing on the door-frame. When the door being locked from inside, anyone can enter the room with a minor kick on the door from outside. We have stayed here twice and before Let’s Hyde had a great Lounge Area with comfortable sofas and chairs in front of the pool. In favor of 4 sun beds now the comfy Lounge furniture was moved to an area in front of the lobby where there also is a pool table. You don’t go to that area to sit remotely, thus very unfortunate Lounge section is not around the pool area anymore. At the opposite end of the pool there’s lots of free space for extra sunbeds, enabling the Resort to keep the lounge section in front of the swimming pool. The fixed sections with curtains on the left side of the pool are actually nice, but the roof is a sun penetrating plastic transparent roof making you wish to lay under an sun proof parasol instead. There is only 3 parasols placed on the right side of the pool and these parasols are not allowed to be mowed following the sun during the day, making the parasols useless! The locking mechanism is not strong enough to the wind resulting the parasol immediately to provide no shade which it is supposed to. A couple of hours every evening the multiple Bats in the trees above the various rooms around the Resort are quite noisy, but you get used to it. The swimming pool not being kept clean on a daily basis. It seemed like the filtration is not working. The water is not clear and the water surface is floating with sun cream and other oily stuffs. When we claimed this to the reception they were not really interested and we asked them to go with us for their own examination and they agreed that the pool was dirty and off course not acceptable. We stopped using the pool because of this.
